Lance Tait works in the following genres: comedy, historical Drama, musical theatre (in particular, 'Helen'), experimental theatre, and epic theatre. Among his many full-length and one-act plays are his 15 plays based on short stories by Edgar Allan Poe. Many of his plays are published in the United States by Enfield Publishing Company. His work has been presented in the U.S., the U.K., France, Canada, and Spain. In 2002 Tait founded Theatre Metropole, an English-language theater troupe, in Paris. Tait received his B.A. from Bard College, where he majored in music composition. He recieved his M.A. in the playwriting at Boston University, studying with Nobel laureate Derek Walcott. He earned a Ph.D. after theater and literature studies, first in Toronto, and then in Ohio - where he studied with "the father of Literary Ecology," Joseph Meeker.

Synopsis:
A variety of sketches influenced by French sketch writing. Always for 2 performers, ranging from the ridiculous to the sublime.
Notes:
14 comedy sketches. Average length of a sketch: 9 minutes. Cast requirements: 2m or 2w or 1m/1w. Some of these sketches were filmed and in the aggregate received over 1.5 million views online at places like YouTube. (The sketch "Sex in Advertising", by T). Influenced by the French sketches written by Roland Dubillard in the book, 'Les Diablogues'.
