Synopsis: | Aminta a shepherd is in love with Sylvia. His friend Tirsi says he must tell her and says she is bathing at the spring. Aminta goes to meet her. A Satyr forces himself on Sylvia but the arrival of Aminta stops this - however Sylvia runs away. Aminta finds her veil covered in blood and a pack of wolves nearby are devouring a carcass. Thinking Sylvia is dead he throws himself off a cliff. He hits a bush halfway down and is saved. Sylvia has not been devoured by wolves sees him and he is rescued. Aminta and Sylvia marry | |||||
