Synopsis:
When the Germans invaded France a Jewish family fled from Paris to the south of France. They change their names and are taken on by a farmer and given a one room hut to live in. Simon the head of the family worries that they will be discovered - his mother-in-law keeps slipping into Yiddish. He thinks his nephew looks too Jewish and what will happen when his daughter-in-law gives birth and it is a boy?
