Jankyn's Gold
Synopsis:
A lively, entertaining and somewhat bawdy version of two tales from Chaucer (the Wife of Bath and the Pardoner) combined with a snippet of Everyman and a dash of Piers Plowman. All are combined into a single Drama with strong character parts, opportunities for mime and for mask work; and of course there is a clever ending! After all, the Pardoner is basically a dodgy insurance salesman and the Wife of Bath a sex therapist, an agony aunt and a Believer in Life!
Notes:
based on some of the Tales of Chaucer
