Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Story
Percy Jackson is dyslexic and has ADHD. His class are visiting the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art when his algebra teacher takes him aside. Mrs Dodds transforms into a Fury (from the Greek Myths) and attacks him. The Latin teacher Mr Brunner throws him a special sword to defend himself and Mrs Dodds is vaporised. No one believes him when he tells them and no one including Mr Brunner remembers Mrs Dodds. Percy is expelled for leaving the group at the Museum
