Tommy Trull is a playwright, poet, and composer based in North Carolina. He received his BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and his MFA in Playwriting from Spalding University, where he studied with Kira Obolensky, Charlie Schulman, Eric Schmiedl, and Brad Riddell. His plays have been produced all around the country, including VIEWERS LIKE YOU (Theatre Three, NY), ANYTHING ANYTHING YOU WANT (n.u.f.a.n. ensemble, Chicago), OUTING THE BADGER (Little Fish Theatre, CA), WAKE WALKING (Greensboro College, NC), THE IMMERSIBLES (GTCC, NC), and THE 27 CLUB (FringeNYC.) He also wrote the musicals PERSEUS IN SUBURBIA and SILENT PICTURES (Fly-By-Night Theatre, NC.) His magical realist drama HONEYBOY won the Southeastern Theatre Conference's New Play Award and was published in Southern Theater (Fall '09), and he won the Mark Gilbert Award twice for his oddball supernatural thrillers FIVE TIL NOW and ECHOES OF MERCY. Tommy has written two short films, OBLIVION (General Pictures) and DUES OF THE HEART (Greenpax Films.) His poems have appeared in several magazines, most recentlyBorder Crossing and South85 Review. He currently teaches playwriting and theater classes at Greensboro College and GTCC in North Carolina, and is resident playwright and dramaturg for Fly-By-Night Theatre.

Synopsis:
A burnout rocker sees joining the infamous 27 club as his destiny, but first must escape the shadow of his novelist father. High and low culture race to the grave in this tragicomic deconstruction of fame from NC's Fly-By-Night theatre.

Curio Shop, The

Synopsis:
A young couple enter a curio shop. the owner is agitated - he is expecting a delivery. He calls for his assistant who drags out a case. the case should contain the remains of a ghoul that the shop owner wants to sell to a university - but the case is empty. the assistant complains that he has been bitten by a rat - but the bite mark on his arm is far too large to have come from a rodent. . . . .
