Kidnapping Cameron
Synopsis:
If you want to see the prime minister alive again, youd better do what I say!If youre a disillusioned teenager and you feel you have no chance of getting a place at University, a job when you leave school or that you will ever be able to afford to buy a house, theres not a lot you can do about it is there? Its ok, because thirteen year old Lucy has a plan. Shes going to kidnap the prime minister and make him put everything right again. That should do the trick. Writing to the prime minister pretending to be a sick child who dreams of meeting him, Lucy carries out her unimaginable, dastardly plan. But has she taken it all a bit too far and can her friends help her find a better way to make a difference? Kidnapping Cameron is a hilariously funny play that takes a serious look at the role young people can play in democracy and deciding their own future in todays uncertain times.

Pages From My Songbook
Synopsis:
North West professional playwrights collective the Alligator Club is set to stage a festival of short plays inspired by music at the Studio at Manchesters Royal Exchange Theatre on July 19-20. Pages From My Songbook is billed as a mix tape of theatre, with 18 short plays featuring live music, all the length of a song, which explore love, life, loneliness and lager. Against the backdrop of a dusky festival night, it will immerse the audience in stories that blur the lines between a theatrical and festival experience, as short stories and musicians evoke the spirit of a festival.
