Synopsis:
Kidnapped with his sister at the age of 11, Equiano is beaten, suffocated and tortured on a journey which sees him separated from his sister and sold to British traders. His encounters of the Middle Passage alter his life in ways barely imaginable. Written and directed by Adam Tulloch, Olaudah Equiano, The Enslaved African is an honest, uncompromising and moving portrayal of one of slavery's victims.
