Everyman In the Circus Of Life

Synopsis:
This collection offers both the original version of the medieval morality play and a new contemporary adaptation. Both focus on Everyman, a carefree character concerned only with himself. When he comes face to face with Death, he learns that God has commanded him to write a reckoning that explains what he has done to prove himself worthy of heaven. As he seeks others to vouch for his goodness, all his earthly friends desert him and his journey leads him to realize that his life of disobedience may keep him from God eternally. In the nick of time, something meaningful changes things in an unexpected way

Princess and the Pea, The

Synopsis:
Out of the glory days of Russia in the time of the czars came a prince, a princess, and a pea. Blending fact and fable, this strikingly original adaptation sets the action in the tumultuous era of Imperial Russia. Young Alexi, Czar of all the Russias, is under pressure from the Duma to take a bride of royal heritage. But he turns away every prospect until his mother, Catherine, takes matters into her own hands. Outside the palace, the bitter winter winds rush through the poor city streets of Imperial Russia, as young Anya and her father, Victor, fight an evil tax collector to keep their precious "spot" on the street where they sell birds. Anya becomes enchanted with the young czar, Alexi Nikolaevich, and though they have never properly met, Anya is certain that she can convince him to change his severe laws. Alexi, however, has other problems; the law requires that he marry a true princess.
