Ms. Wadsworth is from Willimantic, a small town in Connecticut that you probably haven't heard of before. She fell in love with theater thanks to a very energetic arts program in her public school, and came to New York with a yen to go into acting; however, three years in New York University's drama program taught her not only that she couldn't act, but also that she was better at stage management and writing anyway. Xingu is Ms. Wadsworth's first professional play. Other writing credits include Triangles Everywhere, produced at The Metropolitan Playhouse in 2007; a series of educational program notes for the erstwhile Electric Theater Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania; and occasional script doctoring for a fishing program that used to air on ESPN (she is probably not allowed to tell you which one). Ms. Wadsworth was also a stage manager for ten years, predominantly with The Metropolitan Playhouse. Concurrently, and currently, she was also the literary manager for Reverie Productions, where she founded and continues to run the company's Next Generation Playwriting Contest with company artistic director Colin D. Young.
