To date I've written 20 plays. Many of those are political and social. I've had two short poetry books published by Glandore (a local community project) and I've had also 4 spiritual book-lets published. I began my own theatrical company, COMMEDAGH PRODUCTIONS, in 2005 in order to stage my own work; I've produced and directed about 14 of my plays mostly locally in Belfast, Derry and Dublin.

Jean Jean and the real Jean
Synopsis:
This piece of drama is about anyone The name I've given to anyone is Jean. Jean sees her life experiences in a self contained way while her conscience sees her life experiences in quite another way and finally there is the truth (as opposed to Her truth) which only surfaces when all else fails. Jean talks to herself as though she were three different people. The scene begins with the three Jeans: Jean1in a bath of shredded paper (symbolising her wasted words that she now feels never meant a thing to anyone who heard or read them) Jean2 sits behind a dressing table (looking out at audience) putting on her make-up and combing her hair; Jean3 representing truth (can be either male or female) stands to the side and only moves in between the other two Jeans when the truth is required. Jean at this moment in time, because of a recent ghost from the past, realises that her life was based not on the truth but on fabrication and self denial and that through her blurred version of the truth, lives, including her own, are forever doomed. (For convenience each Jean will be referred to as Jean 1 (bath) Jean 2 (conscience) Jean (truth)

Meeting, The
Synopsis:
Six scenarios of suicides and the reaction of family and friends in the aftermath. On stage the family and friends (6) each tell their part of the story and at one point via video the suicides tell their goodbyes, though nothing explicit about their deaths is seen or hinted at. They all talk calmly about what has brought them to this point. Three of the stories are completely make up though I knew they would be typical and that audience would relate to them, the other three stories were based on actual events and the people concerned were all involved with the drama.
