Amelia, A Story of Abiding Love
Synopsis:
the Washington Stage Guild celebrates their 25th anniversary season with a world premiere play that remembers the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. Amelia tells of a woman's heroic efforts to rescue her husband from the notorious prison camp at Andersonville, Georgia. This Helen Hayes recommended play follows her thrilling journey through the war-torn country affects all those she meets along the way, whether they help or hinder her, and leads her through the very gates of the infamous camp to find her beloved Ethan.

Synopsis:
The true story about the legendary New York nightclub which promoted racial equality and progressive causes. From 1938 to 1947 Cafe Society played host to some of the finest musical talent of the 20th century, including Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie and many others. Cafe Society Swing tells the story of the venue from its idealistic Left-wing beginnings in Depression-era America. It follows its thrilling musical journey through struggles and triumphs, to its eventual demise in the 'Red scare' hysteria of the late 1940s.
