Catherine Weingarten is a recent graduate of Bennington College where she focused in drama. Her one act, Venus Mars and Torturous Change Your Life Intense Idealistic Love was then a finalist in the school's playwriting competition and was chosen and artistically directed by Sherry Kramer. Since then she has studied playwriting with Abi Basch, Samuel D.Hunter, Sherry Kramer and Nastaran Ahmadi at Powerhouse/New York Stage and Film. Her plays have been produced at such theaters as Project Y, Newborn Theatre, Poetic Theater Productions, Sequioa Theater Company, dark horse dramatists, Talkstory theater company, Fancy Pants Theater, the NYC Frigid Festival, Wishbone Theater Collective and Piper Theater Productions.

Synopsis:
Hester got the girliest job of all time, she is a drama specialist at "Lake Pampered" a fancy all girls summer camp. Only problem is, Hester isn't too girly and can't even smile too well. In this goofy camp play in conversation with movies like "Meatballs" and "Wet hot American Summer", Hester struggles to find her own in a pampered, popular and privileged world.

A Roller Rink Temptation is a coming of age dark comedy romp about eight girls struggling for love in a new and daunting world. Pippi and Clementine struggle to continue their friendship even when Pippi reveals a dark secret. Betty and Ella could get together, but their repressed sexualities get in the way. Rachel struggles with her sexuality while Lemonade, the sexy cotton candy shop girl tries to initiate her into the new lesbian world.
