Heaven Sent
Synopsis:
Heaven Sent is set in the hard-scrabble world of Appalachia, circa 1933. SAMUEL LANGLEY, a bitter recluse in his late 60s, lives on the edge of the rural community of Raveloe, Kentucky. He is an herbalist, supporting himself by making homemade remedies. Suffering from epilepsy, his frequent fits make him a mysterious, dark figure in this tight-knit southern community. One night, semi-conscious andin the throes of an epileptic fit, Samuel is robbed of his considerable fortune he kept hidden in a hole in his cabin. When a young child, abandoned by her Father and forsaken by her mother, finds her way to Samuels doorstep one cold winter night, Samuel thinks his gold has been returned to him in the form of the childs golden tresses. the play, very loosely based on the 19th-century British novel SILAS MARNER by George Eliot, is the story of a troubled mans redemption through the simple needs of an innocent child.

Kindred Spirits
Synopsis:
The Moseby Spirit has been supplying the people of Moseby, New Hampshire with their weekly dose of news and gossip for over one hundred years. And editor Rose Dwyer has been at the helm of this grand old journal for nearly half that time. Rose and her "crack" news team, young and eager Tom Fergus and part-time stringer and full-time newshound Dora Wickenhuiser, cover this small New England town like white covers rice. But hard times have struck the Spirit, as they have most newspapers across America. The Spirit has been sold to a large investment banking firm and Rose is afraid her life's work will be turned into a trivial piece of irrelevant fluff, full of Hollywood gossip, easy word puzzles and meaningless pie charts. If only Charlie Treadwell were still alive. Charlie was Rose's first boss at The Spirit - her professional mentor, her stalwart champion and the love of her life. As Rose sits in a deserted newsroom, worrying about the future of her beloved newspaper, a door opens and in comes a flood of memories which might offer Rose the solution to her stark dilEmma.
