Scot is a playwright, musical theatre writer and actor. Alan Brodie Representation represents Scot for his musical A BARD DAY'S NIGHT and his play HOPE. At the age of 18, Scot wrote his first stage play, GROWING YOUNG. The Liverpool Playhouse selected the play to go into production and in 1992 it was staged under the direction of Scot to great critical acclaim. Five full length stage plays followed - THE HERD OF BRUTES, GET ANOTHER LOVER MOTHER, THE PLASTIC DAFT, LEVEL MINUS 99 and HUGGERMUGGER - three of which were produced at The Liverpool Playhouse and Unity Theatres between 1992 and 1995, earning him nominations in both the BEST NEW THEATRE TALENT and BEST NEW TALENT IN LITERATURE categories at the Liverpool Echo and Daily Post arts awards. Scot's original musical A BARD DAY'S NIGHT written with Chris O'Neill (music/lyrics) has been workshopped at the Liverpool Playhouse and LIPA and is currently being considered by a number of commercial producers. Scot's new stage play HOPE received its world premiere at the Royal Court Liverpool in March 2013 starring Samantha and Mark Womack. Plans are underway for a tour in 2014. Scot is currently working on the screenplay of HOPE for eOne Films.
