Dick Barton Episode IV: the Flight of the Phoenix
Synopsis:
this is the fourth episode of the critically acclaimed and hugely successful series of musical comedies featuring the BBC's 1940 hero, Dick Barton. In this most death-defying episode yet, will Dick's courage finally crack and his stiff upper lip tremble with fear when he meets up with the most fiendlishly fearsome foe yet? Could this be the last time we see Dick Barton alive. . .?

Dick Barton: Quantum of Porridge
Synopsis:
based on the characters created for a nightly fifteen-minute radio show which began in 1946 about Dick Barton (Special Agent) and his sidekicks Scottie and Snowy, a camp thriller featuring over-the-top plotting that frequently managed to free its heroes from the most inescapable situations with 'one bound and he was free' solutions. A sort of radio cartoon strip, it was broadcast at 6.45 each evening, had an exciting signature tune and became essential listening, with an audience of 15 million. It ran for five years.

Dirty Fan Male
Synopsis:
Jonny Trunk and Duncan Wisbey have stumbled upon a comedy goldmine with this musical presentation of fan letters written to British soft-porn stars. the mail was collected by Trunk, who ran a fanclub for his glamour-model sister. the music, and the characterful voices in which the correspondence is read, are Wisbey's. As directed by Alan Cox, their combination of squalid private fantasies and very actorly recital is often sublimely funny. - Brian Logan, Guardian
