Winifred Wolfe, author of ''Ask Any Girl,'' ''If a Man Answers'' and other novels about career women wrote more than 30 stories in such magazines as Cosmospolitan and Good Housekeeping. ''Ask Any Girl,'' published in 1958, and ''If a Man Answers'' (1960) were made into films starring Shirley MacLaine and Sandra Dee, respectively. Her other novels were ''Yesterday's Child,'' ''Josie's Way'' and ''OccupANT Penthouse A.'' Miss Wolfe wrote two plays, ''Three Stories High,'' and ''man on the Stairs,'' which was produced in London. Miss Wolfe began her career writing radio soap operas. In the 70's, she was head writer of the television soap operas ''As the World Turns'' and ''somerset.'' She wrote and produced her ''High Hopes,' a syndicated Drama series.
