Birdboy
On an ancient fortress, the site of King Caradoc's last battle against the Romans, two boys swear a pact of friendship. Never to lie. Never to betray. Never to tell their secret. Birdboy explores the unlikely friendship between two boys: Eddie, a bully, feared by his classmates at secondary school, and Tim, a loner, new to the area and just about to leave primary school. As Eddie and Tim find themselves isolated at home and in the village, they escape up the Knoll; a landmark since Roman times, a battleground filled with the aura of conflict. Here they create their own den, a secret place for heroes. the only problem is, winter is setting in and Eddie won't come down. As the snow falls, Tim must decide how to support his new friend - to deliver food to him or betray him? It is a play about transitions - from primary to secondary school, from loner to companion, from being a victim to taking control.

Dream Of White Horses, A
Paul's father, Rick, a presence throughout the play, was a professional climber who fell to his death while soloing A Dream of White Horses, a climb on a Welsh sea cliff. Paul wants two things - to climb the Dream, and to find out whether his father's death was an accident or suicide. He lives in a town and with his friend Stevie, at night he climbs and tags the buildings, including his own school. A new boy, Martin, joins the school, and he and Paul become friends. Stevie finds that her relationship with Paul is more important to her than she realised. Despite the tension, when an opportunity arises for Paul to attempt the route, Stevie and Martin give him all the help they can, limited in Martin's case, as he is terrified of heights. On the climb Paul discovers what happened to his father, and a great deal about himself.
