Down the Drain
Synopsis:
DOWN the DRAIN is a play about Annie Wilson, a woman who brutally murders her children one night. the play explores not just how Annie gets to the point where she can kill, but also the ramifications of this event (and her subsequent attempts to conceal the truth) on both herself and her community. Seven actors (4m, 3f) play over twenty characters from the town and Annie's family. the play is highly theatrical, using doubling of actors to reinforce theme, and balancing Annie's vision of reality with monologues from the people around her.

Frankenstein's Daughter
Synopsis:
By completely re-imagining and integrating the competing narratives from our two earlier Frankenstein projects, Rabbit Hole Ensemble has crafted a cohesive new play that honors and invigorates Mary Shelley's classic story by giving it a surprising new twist. Rabbit Hole Ensemble has changed the genders of the Doctor and Creature to sharply focus on the powerful consequences and responsibilities of creation. Is Doctor Frankenstein's crime creating her monster/daughter. . .or rejecting it? the production naturally features Rabbit Hole Ensemble's signature minimalism including specific physical work, innovative design, techniques from story theatre, musical elements from Kabuki theatre, two actors playing the same role, and multiple points of view.

Synopsis:
stage adaptation of the F.W. Murnau film, Nosferatu, and Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula. the following description is from the show's press release: "Jonathan and Mina Harker are plunged into a nightmare from which there may be no awakening as they meet the mysterious Count Nosferatu; a creature of the undead. Sensing in Mina a kindred soul, he plans to take her into his world of darkness. Told in two parts, earlier versions of each having been performed earlier this year, the cast of six (playing multiple roles) brings the story to life via a form of story theatre, telling the tale with minimal sets and using their voices and bodies to create the scenes and action."

Tragic Story of Doctor Frankenstein, The
Synopsis:
Rabbit Hole Ensemble is celebrating their fifth anniversary with a year-long, Brooklyn-based exploration of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. the piece - the first installment of which will premiere at Brooklyn Arts Exchange in Park Slope on October 28th - will be a gender-bending horror (in the old-fashioned, creepy sense of the word) that casts Dr. Frankenstein as a Columbia University coed, and her monster as a Linda Blair-esque young girl. the production will utilize Rabbit Hole's signature minimalism and physical theatre techniques to create the terrifying story. This is the company's second horror-theatre project, following up on 2008's award-winning the Night of Nosferatu. As part of Rabbit Hole's theatre for Communities initiative, free tickets of the show will be provided to area non-profits.
