Jane Woollard (B.A., Dip Arts DramArt, VCA) has worked for 15 years as a director, dramaturg, writer and teacher. She has been the recipient of three Australia Council grants -- for The Hammer of Devotion, a play about medieval women writers which she wrote and directed in 1993, and for her current script Needle Eye, a medieval memory play exploring conquest and forgetting. In 1997, Jane was commissioned by Mainstreet Theatre to write Into The Web. This play toured South Australia and Victoria in 1997 and 1998. In 1999 Jane was appointed Artistic Coordinator of Union House Theatre at the University of Melbourne.
