Synopsis: | Where has Dionysos been all these years? In 2000AD, we find him sleeping on a bench in the New York subway; a point of faceless, empty transit. He is filthy. He reeks of booze. Blinks into the blue neon lights. Once the subway's been locked up for the night, he beckons us into his world and re-enacts his furious story. So we step out, for one night, from the frantic race of time, only to be hurled from Babylon to Jericho, Egypt to Troy. We smell the smells, hear the cries, rich in violence and thumping with desire. For he is Onysos: half man, half god, the guardian of our baser instincts. | |||||
